Adventure Education Programmes

This programme is a very popular programme for International Students
The programme is available for one term, two terms three terms and a full year.

New Zealand is a country which offers a wide variety of outdoor opportunities. The beaches, lakes, rivers and mountains are all easily accessible for students to explore. The natural beauty and dramatic environment changes from the coast to the Southern Alps. Our small population means students can experience the outdoors with few other people.

Join the exciting Adventure Education Programme at Linwood College. Have an experience which combines outdoor adventure with academic subjects in a relaxed and friendly New Zealand lifestyle.

The programme consists of outdoor activities, tourism trips and a choice of four academic subjects including English Language tuition.

Adventure  Education: This course is designed to challenge students, encourage personal growth and provide real life experiences in New Zealand’s unique environment.  Students have the opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge in a safe and structured programme.

  • Environmental Awareness

Certificates are offered in:

  • Outdoor First aid
  • River Crossing
  • Alpine skills

The programme covers 8 hours per week during the school timetable. Every second Friday there will be a full day out of the school with the occasional overnight trips.
