Canterbury Tertiary College

Linwood College is part of the Canterbury Tertiary College in partnership with CPIT.

The College offers three full time Tertiary courses for students from Linwood College and around Christchurch. Students on these courses study towards a Vocational National Certificates at Level 1 & 2 while completing their NCEA.


Automotive

Practical and Theory units are part of  a National Certificate  at Level 2 considered to be the entry level for anyone wanting to complete an apprenticeship or further training in the wide range of vocational pathways available in the  many automotive areas.


Building and Construction

A wide range of practical skills and theory units are studied towards a National Certificate at Level 2 that is recognised as being the grounding for students wanting to enter an apprenticeship or further training in the many vocational pathways available in the wood trades.


Mechanical Engineering

Practical, Theory and Trade Drawing units combine to towards a National Certificate at Level 2 that is the recognised entry level into the many Engineering Trades. The National Certificate completes the first year of study in most Engineering apprenticeships.

Students on these courses have the advantage of  completing Vocational Qualifications and crediting them to their NCEA results at Level 1 & 2 and leaving school work ready.
