English Language Academy for (ESOL)

The English Language Academy provides intensive courses for students who require full time English language study. This academy is for all levels of students who wish to improve their English skills. It offers high school preparation for students intending to study in academic classes. All classes are taught by professional second language teachers.
Class sizes are limited to 15 students.

Levels:

  • Beginner/elementary
  • Pre-intermediate
  • Intermediate
  • NCEA Level One
  • NCEA Level Two
  • IELTS

 

Entrance Requirements: There are no minimum levels of English required. Students are assessed when they arrive and placed into the appropriate level.
Students are required to produce a copy of their last school report.

Orientation: An Orientation Programme when students begin at Linwood College introduces students to key staff and the organisation of the school.
