What is Gateway?
• A structured work experience placement programme where students will gain industry relevant Unit Standards.
• Students will be supported by the Linwood College Gateway Coordinator, Jean Brown.
• The programme has no costs to the student.

GAIN:
• Unit Standard credits towards NCEA.
• Relevant work-related skills.
• Experience in a career of your choice.
• Access to industries and workplaces.

Applications are invited from students who are:
• In Year 12 or 13.
• Keen to gain particular work-based skills.
• Self motivated to learn.
• Reliable and with good attendance.

The Christchurch Rebuild will provide many opportunities for specific skill training and jobs.  Gateway provides links to Industry Training Organisations, Apprenticeships and Pre-apprenticeship training.
