Enrolment Process

International Students are able to enrol at anytime during the year but Term 4 is a short term for the Senior School as students sit the NCEA exams.

Students should complete the application form from the Prospectus or available on the website. It is important to write at least half a page to include with the application form stating why you wish to come to Linwood College and also explaining something about yourself your goals and your family. This is helpful for finding you a suitable homestay family. Your previous school reports should also be provided. We will also need to know your level of English. You will need to be prepared to complete the School Acceptance Contract and sign the School Rules schedule.

If your application is successful Linwood College will send an Offer of Place and an Invoice. For Chinese students a Preliminary Offer is provided at this point.

When this invoice is paid we provide a receipt and a final contract form.

You will then be able to apply for a student visa.

Inform the International Department of your arrival details.

Placement in classes will be decided by the Director of International Students in consultation with the ESOL department, the student and the parents or guardians
