NCEA Information Evening


Information evening for all Senior students next Thursday 1st March 2012.

Senior students and their parents are warmly invited to an NCEA evening next Thursday 1st March at 6.00 p.m. in the Student Centre.

This is an opportunity for students’ parents and caregivers to gain an extended understanding of the requirements of NCEA. There will also be some guides and tips for successful study at home, clarity about the importance of homework and an explanation as to what makes up homework.

There have been some changes with the alignment of the standards and this along with Literacy and Numeracy requirements will be outlined and discussed.

The college encourages all parents / caregivers and students to attend, but particularly Year 11 students. The formal part of the evening will take an hour and then there will be a chance for informal chat with light refreshments.

This notice is on the school website and there will be a text message sent out early next week.

We look forward to meeting you next Thursday.

1                   Year 11, 12 and 13 start (students report to Gym at 11:00am, finishing at 1pm)

2                   Peer supporters report to Gym at 8.00am.Year 9 (and all other new students)

                     report admin carpark at 8:40am. (Powhiri welcome to follow)

                    Year 10 students report to Gym at 11.00am.

                    School finishes: Year 9 & Peer Supporters – 3.00pm

                                              Year 10 – 1.00pm.

3                   All students report to ASPIRE groups at 8.40am.

                    School finishes at 3.00pm.

Lyttelton special bus begins its service. Departs Rapaki at 7.35am.
Sumner special bus begins its service. Departs Wakefield Avenue at 7.5 

6                   Waitangi Day                   

7                  All students report to TUTOR groups at 8:40am. School finishes at 3pm.
